Welcome to The Foraged Studio—a space shaped by the seasons, softened by stories and second-hand treasures. Here, petals are gathered, colours are celebrated, and the beauty of slow, everlasting flowers is brought to life. Created by hand and held with care, this studio is the heart of My Foraged Life.
What began in the smallest room of our home—our humble Mudroom—has grown alongside my family and my flowers. In those early days, I created close to the comfort and chaos of everyday family life, needing to stay near my little ones. That tiny 2.5-by-3-metre space was filled with blooms and baskets, petals and possibilities. Eventually, the flowers began to spill out into hallways, corners, and every spare shelf. It was blissful in its own way, but I knew My Foraged Life needed room to breathe and bloom.
In 2024, we built something new: The Foraged Studio, a purpose-filled flower studio within our freestanding shed. Crafted almost entirely from repurposed materials, old treasures, and vintage finds, it’s a space shaped by intention and love. My husband Rich built it all by hand, measuring each piece of timber with care and patience. The studio spans 9 by 4 metres and includes a main workroom, a back room for drying, and a loft for storage. It now holds everything in one place. Flowers can dry freely, creativity has space to unfold, and the gentle mess of making feels beautifully contained.
It has become a quiet sanctuary for me and a place of wonder for our children. My daughter loves spending time here—playing among the petals, watching the seasons shift through the open doors, and helping with the small, meaningful tasks that make this work so joyful.
This space is more than just four walls. It reflects everything I hold dear: family, creativity, nature, and slow living. One day soon, I hope to open the doors to others, offering workshops, gatherings, and seasonal events that invite you to share in the beauty of The Foraged Studio.
“Built slowly, with love and purpose—just like the flowers inside.”
